Hello and welcome. I'm a lifestyle/editorial photographer now based in Fayetteville, NC, and working regularly with clients in both Charlotte and Raleigh. My goal is to capture the beauty of life as you know it. My passion is to create images that celebrate life and emotion with a fresh and modern style. I'm happy to share my journey with you here on my site.

Available for travel assignments and adventure, always.
Does it ever catch your eye
Beauty divine
In an old man's tears
A little girl's smile
If it feels like a song
One that belongs to you
Stop making sense
Your weakest defense
Just quiet your mind
Let the world unwind
Beauty divine.

- Brandon Heath

There is something beautiful and unique about every family that I photograph and the Bell Family was certainly no exception. It was one of those perfectly delicious fall evenings and I think that their relaxed, fun playfulness with each other really shines through... which I thought was pretty incredible with an 8 week old tiny baby! Mandi and Keith so clearly delight in their beautiful kiddos and I have to say that I delighted in taking it all in.

Seriously? Precious.

Below are a few photos that I snagged over the past few days as I was on location for sessions and waiting for clients to arrive. I love being able to arrive a little early and take some time to just slow down, take in my surroundings and brainstorm about how to best use the location. On Friday morning I really got to thinking about how awesome it is that I get to go around to so many random locations (that I probably would never know existed if not for my job) and have the opportunity to enter into people's lives and their stories....I consider it such a privilege. From engagements to families and every stage in between, I have the opportunity to capture the most intimate moments, tender looks, and exciting life changes.

So all that being said, thank you to my clients and friends who allow me the opportunity to enter into YOUR lives and YOUR stories... it's always well worth the wait.

I mean, where do I start. Hmmm, well I have been so excited about this bridal portrait and the wedding to follow since the day Reagan contacted me. But its funny because this isn't the first time our paths have crossed. We met years ago through a mutual friend, and I love that photography and a wedding had brought us back together because this is one special gal.

Reagan co-launched the oh-so-deliciously-southern company called Southern Proper. This is a brand that is truly reflection of her heart and her style so I really wanted to capture that vibe during our session together. Here is a blurb about her from their site, and I think that it so perfectly captures her dynamic personality that I must share it here too...

"With a twist of pearls and a twang of spirit, Reagan is all sass and shag. Her eclectic wardrobe is silky and strawberry, with a little bit of posh tucked in the corners of her closet. Raised in Kinston, North Carolina, Reagan spent most of her time on the front porches of the Carolina Coast. Her graceful and extravagant style is best for walking after midnight, and if you meet her on the path, you realize she might still have a little sand in her too-high heels."

I mean, who wouldn't want to photograph this girl! Reagan, you are a gorgeous bride and I can't wait for your special day! Enjoy the preview.

The essential joy of being with horses is that it brings us in contact with the rare elements of grace, beauty, spirit, and fire.  ~Sharon Ralls Lemon

From a very young age I have been captivated with horses and everything about them. I remember thinking, dreaming, hoping and praying about horses. Call me crazy.  Something about their size and grace memorizes me still.

She is an Army wife.
She is a mom.
She is a friend.
She is spunky.
She is an athlete.
She is an inspiration.

Her laughter has the power to convince you to smile, and I think that is something worth celebrating.
