Just got back from an amazing weekend in West Palm Beach, FL shooting Alice and Luke's wedding... it was filled with the most loving details. This is the arbor that they were married under, and that her uncle made by hand for the ceremony. Beautiful setting, beautiful marriage.

"Wherever you are, it's your friends that make your world."
-William James

It's a rare thing to find someone whose sass and spunkiness can match that of my sister-in-law Shannon, but I believe that she met her match in her dear friend Amanda. I kept hearing about how cool and fun and sassy Amanda was...and the moment I met her, I knew it was all TRUE. We were at the YMCA ad her wild hair was tamed into the cutest little pigtails I've ever seen and I knew, quite certainly that I would not only like her from the get-go, but that photographing her and the whole family would be a total hoot. I'm so thankful that Shannon has been blessed with such an awesome friendship in Amanda and that her whole precious family was able to play in front of my camera. I mean, any woman with 3 boys has got to be pretty freaking cool. I think that the red shoes prove it.

Here are some of my favorite moments from our evening in downtown Missoula, MT. Despite the drizzly weather we ran and jumped and I could not help a smile from creeping to my face as I editing these. So here's to you Amanda (and family!) in all your fabulous-ness!

You have an amazing gift-- you and I both know I'm not jealous of much, but sister, I'm jealous of how you capture others!! You are so gifted. Thank you for sharing it with us!

Watching my brother Mark be a father to his daughters brings a sweetness to my soul. Today I learned that this is the song that he and Raleigh will dance to the day that she gets married, and I can't lie... tears pricked my eyes as I listened to the words.

"If you leap awake
In the mirror of a bad dream
And for a fraction of a second
You cant remember where you are
Just open your window
And follow your memory upstream
To the meadow in the mountain
Where we counted every falling star

I believe the light that shines on you
Will shine on you forever
And though I cant guarantee
Theres nothing scary hiding under your bed
I'm gonna stand guard
Like a postcard of a Golden Retriever
And never leave till I leave you
With a sweet dream in your head

Im gonna watch you shine
Gonna watch you grow
Gonna paint a sign
So youll always know
As long as one and one is two
There could never be a father
Who loved his daughter more than I love you

Trust your intuition
Its just like going fishing
You cast your line
And hope you get a bite
But you dont need to waste your time
Worrying about the market place
Try to help the human race
Struggling to survive its harshest night

Im gonna watch you shine
Gonna watch you grow
Gonna paint a sign
So youll always know
As long as one and one is two
There could never be a father
Who loved his daughter more than I love you

Im gonna watch you shine
Gonna watch you grow
Gonna paint a sign
So youll always know
As long as one and one is two
There could never be a father
Who loved his daughter more than I love you
"

2 little twin boys.
2 amazingly cool parents.

This is the formula for images that make me happy and proud and wondrous of life.

Truly, it's amazing to watch Settle and Jeff love these boys, Jack and Webb. This is a family that will grow together in beauty and memories over the years and I simply can't wait to watch it all unfold.... the best part is that I got to capture little pieces of their joy, and like I said... these images make me happy, proud and wondrous of life.

Not at all suprising that 2 such cute parents would produce some little boys like this. Can't handle it.
