Wedding/Engagement :: 12.14.09

This wedding was the most incredible combination of Southern charm, sass, beauty, grace and elegance... truly, it was the wedding that dreams are made of. But really, what else could I expect when one half Southern Proper and one half Coffman's joined forces? Reagan and Todd were celebrated by so many loving family and friends that even I was brought to tears on numerous occasions. Yes, it's true. As I have recounted my experience of this wedding, I have said that this was the "total package" kind of wedding.... all the attention to detail and planning perfectly matched with genuine love and jubilation (special shout out here to Joni of Chocolate Butterbean for the incredible signage and design work! - a post just for that is coming soon!). I was honored to be a part of such a special celebration uniting two amazing lives. And on top of all that - this whole wedding was FUN. The last set of images really captures what a blast was had by all!

Reagan and Todd, you both are amazing and I hope and pray that these images help you to re-live the sheer awesomeness of your day!

So yes, like I said this group was never lacking in the fun department... nope not for one moment. Perhaps the greatest highlights of the reception was a toast given by Reagan's best friend and business partner, Emmie, which turned into a full fledged performance by all the bridesmaids and several friends. That is also when the Uuuups signs came out to play - read about it here, please note that there is a facial expression that goes along with the sign that is very important, ha! Thank you to all you wonderful people that made this wedding totally unforgettable!

We've known Reagan since she was five. She has "blossomed" into a beautiful "Southern Bell". The wedding was a "mind blower"...a beautiful church, a spiritually sincere wedding with some "Southern humor", a fabulous reception in a elegant "magical tent" (that you could have player a Carolina football game in), you name the food and it was there with an awesome band, and to top off the evening......the "craziest, most energetic, innovative, non-stop, wild & funny brides maids we have EVER SEEN. It was a night remember. Oh the "fireworks" ...almost brought "the tent down".
Wil and Donna did it First Class for their "First Class daughter".
Yes, we are giving Todd some socks for Christmas.

the menoher family.

It just so happens that, more often than not, I absolutely fall head over heels in love with my clients. They make me crazy happy. This is just one of those families. Can't help it... it must be said. I met them in the spring when I was here, in Fayetteville, doing mini sessions (little did I know that we would be moving here at that point!). Anyways, we just really seemed to connect and much to my delight they wanted to do this session and more... for the sheer fun of the whole process. So thank you to the Menoher Family, for claiming that I make you all feel like rock stars, when the reality is that I'm the one that feels like a rock star when I get to photograph YOU!!! Cheers to rock stars, fun times, and families that make me fall in love with my job all over again.

Amy! I know them!!! The Menohers knew my family when we lived in England and my sister used to babysit their kids when they lived in Charlottesville! We got their Christmas card this year and I thought it was such a cute pic, I had no idea YOU took it!!! :) SO fun!

To me, everything about these images whispers the happiness and joy that the Christmas season represents. The lovely glow of the afternoon light. The giggles and smiles. Truly I have never met another set of parents that are so gifted at making the kids laugh. I found myself grinning behind my camera. Yup, it's finally beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!!

welcome little man eli.

Little man Eli is boy #2 for the Tucker family and he is already a roly poly ball of love. Seriously, just look at him and try not to fall in love. He was awake and happy throughout our session... just happy to listen to the constant clicking of my camera... and his tiny expressions made my heart flood with a giddiness that can only come from a brand new little life.

I have been surrounded by newborns more than ever in the last couple of months, and I don't think I'll ever tire of seeing their itty bitty fingers, their fresh new skin, and those pouty lips... ahhh! Okay yeah, so like I said, just try not to fall in love with this little man.

Ryan and Angie - your baby boy is beyond precious.

reagan+todd = a Southern Proper rehearsal dinner/party

This is just a teeny tiny sample of the classic beauty that was celebrated last night! Reagan and Todd are a couple surrounded by friends and family that could not be more thrilled to rejoice in the joining of their lives! Plus, the fact that they are both work in the world of fashion...style just seemed to ooze from every detail. I'm off for the BIG day....
