Thank you for starting this day with such beauty and joy Miss Lillian.
In the midst of work, I've been trying to finish up some little projects around the house and one of those projects involves somehow covering the vast amounts of empty wall space in our house. I've clung to the "simple" look for long enough and it's time to make some decisions. I want to order several canvases, as well as ordering some for various birthday and Christmas gifts, so I pulled together this "mood board" of sorts to help me lay out a few of the options. I'm considering opening this up to those of you who may be wanting some fun new artwork for your home too... so take a peek.... and feel free to shoot me an email if you are interested!
if only I had more wall space....I might have to get the horse picture for Maddie's wall. On a side not, Burger Up was just featured in the new issue of Garden and Gun. Your work could easily be featured in there.
(09.30.10 @ 02:12 PM)Okay, it's overwhelming to try to sum up my time, so in addition to sharing a couple favorites from each of my sessions I wanted to share links to some of my faaaaavorite places to eat, work and hang out....
A new find on this trip is the FAB-U-LOUS restaurant called Burger Up. Please eat here if you live anywhere near Nashville or are ever traveling through... deeeelish in every sense of the word.

Okay, so a huge thank you goes out to Heather and Noel for inviting me back to photograph their precious girl Fisher (who I photographed this spring here) and rounding up some other friends who wanted to work with me as well. These 2 are some of the coolest folks to work with and I'm so thankful that they are clients and friends. I was dying over the images we got of Fisher is this antique wash tub. Priceless.
The Ross crew:
And darling Taylor, who I was getting to photograph for the second time as well... oh my, you may remember her precious face and gorgeous eyes from last time here. This session was all about her and her mom, which had me on the verge of tears a few times just from the tenderness of their interaction!
The Eakin boys (speaking of amazing eyes, hubba hubba!):
And finally darling Helen and the Schriner crew:
I love ALL of them! Amazing work, Amy! Can't wait to see the rest of the pics!

(09.14.10 @ 09:45 AM)"Hello! I love you, I get to marry you TODAY!" - Ross Turnmire
This quote SO perfectly sums up the joy and love that were flooding out of Katie and Ross' wedding day. I was blessed to be surrounded by their family and friends who shared in this gorgeous celebration that took place in Morganton NC. And when they pulled away from the reception that same joy filled my heart because as beautiful and wonderful every detail was... I know that, above all, they have a life together to look forward to. And that, in my humble opinion, is the best part of a wedding day.
small world....my nephew was in this wedding! hope you and ross are well!
(09.09.10 @ 12:20 PM)The kiss by the church door = adorable and a favorite for sure! So happy for you guys! xoxo
