Hello and welcome. I'm a lifestyle/editorial photographer now based in Fayetteville, NC, and working regularly with clients in both Charlotte and Raleigh. My goal is to capture the beauty of life as you know it. My passion is to create images that celebrate life and emotion with a fresh and modern style. I'm happy to share my journey with you here on my site.

Available for travel assignments and adventure, always.
Well, it may seem like I've been a bit of a rebel and not been posting like I should. What can I say, I've been a rebel. I have oodles of good stuff to share and I do promise to share it!

But this, this sweetness could not be contained. Little man Levi was less than a week old when I got to meet him and goodness gracious... his tiny little self just melted me.

Happy Friday!

Love these pictures and it helps that Levi's my little nephew, so of course, I agree with Diagnosis Cute Stuff. These are great! Keep up the fantastic work, Amy.

His Vann grandparents think Levi is exceptional like his two older siblings. Can't wait to hold him.

A sister is a little bit of childhood that can never be lost.
-- Marion C. Garretty

I think that I have a soft spot for sisters since I only had brothers growing up. There seems to a unique connection that I find so uniquely beautiful.

"Our memories of the ocean will linger on, long after our footprints in the sand are gone."

We literally pulled in the driveway about 30 minutes ago from a delicious trip to the Outer Banks and I couldn't wait to post these photos from my session with the Montgomery family, who I just so happen to adore. Coming back from the beach is going to make it hard to swing back into the rhythms of life, so perhaps sharing these images is my way of hanging on... if even for just a few more moments before I start laundry and attacking the pile of mail to be tended to!

The B&W of the boys cleaning up in the outer shower are priceless - looks like the little one has got some killer dance moves! These pics are beautiful!

Amy, these photos are absolutely stunning! I am totally impressed. You have captured them beautifully. I have tried to photograph these subjects myself and found it to be slippery as ice. I also enjoyed your web site. Enjoy your gift! We do.

Ross and I have been celebrating the fact that his little sister, Kristen, arrived at Lost Valley last Sunday and is just getting settled in for her first summer as an official "staff gal" for the whole summer. If you are new around here and want to read a little more of my personal history with Lost Valley click here, here and/or here.

As Kristen drove into Colorado, she saw this sign. Anyone who has drive across KS and into CO literally rejoices at seeing this sign. Even though you have to keep driving for at least another hour before seeing any mountains, this sign signifies that the mountains are in fact coming....

This is what she gets to wake up to every morning... ah, down at the old corral. Looking at this image makes me happy. Goodness how one place can flood my heart and mind with such rich memories.
IMG_7925_web.jpgIt's just the simple every day stuff out at Lost Valley that make it so timeless. The uniquity of the ranch is the sameness of the ranch.

This weekend was a whirlwind trip to shoot Amanda and David's lovely wedding and complete another little project. Here are just a couple images that I had to share...

They look pretty over the moon happy, don't you think? And yes, they are on their way to France as we speak, so I'm fully confident that their celebration will continue!
