Hello and welcome. I'm a lifestyle/editorial photographer now based Grand Forks, North Dakota of all places. After starting my business in Charlotte, NC and bouncing around the Southeast, we are embarking on a new adventure in a a whole new part of the country. My goal is to capture the beauty of life as you know it. My passion is to create images that celebrate life and emotion with a fresh and modern style. I'm happy to share my journey with you here on my site.

Available for travel assignments and adventure, always.
boy (noun): a noise with dirt on it.

When we moved to the DC area less than a year ago, Charlie was barely crawling, but I vividly remember thinking about how fun it would be to bring him to the park to run and romp around once he could walk. Now we romp at the park at least once a day and it's more fun that I could have even imagined. This boy is fiercely independent, but also has a tenderness that just melts me every time he buries his sweet head into my legs or hugs me tight while he pats my back. He really is evolving into a little boy-man in front of my eyes each day...

love it! i feel like the one of him standing on the steps really shows his independent spirit and also his curious side and i also love that cute little wrinkled nose smile in the one next to it....that is so totally him! seriously, i think i am going to write a letter to the air force and tell them to reconsider this whole moving all the way to north dakota mess. you know i do know people who know people....

I met Wheeler a couple years ago at Reagan's wedding.... and I knew that with her spunky personality and big smile, her wedding would be quite a celebration as well. Stephen couldn't take his eyes off his bride throughout the night and my goodness who could blame him since dear Wheeler was.. radiant. Much love and the greatest blessings to you both!

Charlie and I have been on the road for the last week, so we've become quite good travel buddies. One of his latest and greatest passions is pretending to drive in the front seat... love this kid.

"When that baby looks into your eyes, and you know it's yours, you know what it means to be alive." - Anonymous

Meredith and Daniel are just about the most calm and collected set of first time parents that I've ever encountered and little man Jack just sweetly reflected their laid back attitude. This precious boy just slept, smiled and worked his 10-day-old charm. There is just so much love and pride lavished upon a first born child... and of course I can't help but be transported back to my experience (which I simply cannot believe was over 14 months ago now!).

Wishing you the ability to take many naps to help absorb these sleepless nights and cling to the sweetness of that tiny boy every moment in between!

Waiting to have the Air Force tell us where we will be living next is a strange kind of waiting... because there is such uncertainty and there is also a certain freedom. Obviously, the uncertainty comes from having a list of bases around the world that could potentially become our home and there really aren't too many clues to cling to when it comes to location or timing. But then, there is a freedom to trusting that our next move is going to be made for us and we really believe that wherever that location may be... it is meant to be. So as we were waiting for this decision to determine the next 3 years of our lives, I was simply praying that my heart would be prepared. So when Ross said - it's going to be Grand Forks, North Dakota - I almost couldn't do anything but laugh! I mean, I've never even been to North Dakota! I had to go look at a map to orient myself about what was even nearby. In case you are wondering, Canada about an hour to the north, Fargo to the south, and a lot of nothing else all around. But then the sweet reminders that a path is being prepared for us.... our dear friend Matt is from there and still has family there (we've been assured that the best babysitters for Charlie are already on standby!).... my mom's best friend went to school there and has been so gracious in sharing her contacts....and I am confident that I will continue to be surprised with the connections we will continue to make to our new home. The other blessing of knowing where we will be going, is that because it is so VASTLY different from where we live now... it allows me to soak up all the goodness of our life here for these last few months; dear friendships that have been built, morning coffee roasted locally, endless walks to the park and around town, Georgetown cupcakes at my fingertips, and access to pretty much anything I could possibly imagine!

So, here's to loving every remaining moment we have here in Bethesda AND looking towards the next adventure that we will embark upon in ND....

oh my goodness! i grew up in the military, my dad a retired general in the air force, and we moved every year! holy smokes, but i wanted to tell you, as hard as that was for me growing up, my home and my life and my love was my mom, dad and brother. my mom had our home put together out of boxes in a few days....it amazed me, but now i know it was for the sense of normal and to have our belongings set up to feel safe. the safety and all i cared about was having her there with me. charlie will do the same, he has you and his daddy and that is all he needs and feels safe by. just wanted to let you know that. :-)

Though I've never been there, it has a special place in my heart. When we were in the Chicago area our new neighbors were from a small town near Grand Forks. Seeing her sitting on her deck reading her Bible every AM made me realize that there was more to being a "Christian" than going to church. That was the beginning of my faith journey, & shortly after meeting her I gave my life to Christ & became a "real" Christian. We both had new babies & she only lived there for less than a year, but she had a huge impact on my life as I watched her truly live out Christ in her, the hope of glory.
So excited for you all as you begin your new "northern-most" life!
