Hello and welcome. I'm a lifestyle/editorial photographer now based Grand Forks, North Dakota of all places. After starting my business in Charlotte, NC and bouncing around the Southeast, we are embarking on a new adventure in a a whole new part of the country. My goal is to capture the beauty of life as you know it. My passion is to create images that celebrate life and emotion with a fresh and modern style. I'm happy to share my journey with you here on my site.

Available for travel assignments and adventure, always.
"Of course if you like your kids, if you love them from the moment they are born... you yourself begin all over again, in them, with them... and so there is something more to the world again."
- William Saroyan

I fell in love with photographing this awesome family last year about this time (which you can check out here if you so choose) and I have to say that this session was just as much fun... well, maybe even more since they've added a new baby boy to the crew! Not only did I love my time photographing them, but I found myself smiling and laughing as I went through and edited their images. I pray that I can always maintain a sense of wonder about being welcomed into the folds of my client's lives... these are the moments that, when strung together, make up the richest, sweetest memories.

There's nothing quite like some fresh baby preciousness to start off a Monday morning, don't you agree?! Those lips, wrinkles, tiny fingers and toes. Ah.

When I look at this little boy, I simply can NOT believe that I'm going to have a little man of my own in less than 8 weeks now. I also just saw Carson again yesterday and can't believe he has grown and changed in the weeks since since we took these photos. Further evidence that a baby's life is one of the miracles that proves how much can happen in a day, a week and a month. Little babes always remind me to cherish each moment....

But what minutes!  Count them by sensation, and not by calendars, and each moment is a day.  ~Benjamin Disraeli

Last week I posted a taste of little miss Lillian, and here are a few more. There is something intimate and enchanting about getting to photograph a newborn... the love flowing from parent to child is practically tangible as they gaze upon such a tiny bundle.

I imagine this would be a song that any parent would dedicate to their brand new baby. If you have never heard this song, it's worth a listen :)

I will not take my love away
When praises cease and seasons change
while the whole world turns the other way
I will not take my love away
I will not leave you all alone
When striving leads you far from home
And there's no yield for what you've sown
I will not leave you all alone
I will give you what you need
In plenty or in poverty
Forever, always, look to me
And I will give you what you need
I will not take my love away

You may remember these little cowboys from earlier in the summer, well as I was gathering together all their final images (thank you for your patience Kira!)  I could not resist share this series of shots of them with their mom. I'm pretty familiar with what life with 3 little boys looks like since my oldest brother and his wife have a similar set, but just something about these images seemed to summarize it all so much better than I could ever describe. A little nutty, silly, crazy and sweet... it's quite the experience. C'est la vie with three!

Amy! You are incredible! These are hilarious! You are so gifted to capture the boys' individual personalities--especially Landon. His cup runneth over with personality! What a gift you have given us!
