Well hello you gorgeous baby. Emerson is truly the heart of both Terry and Ellen and watching them hold and gaze upon her is both sublime and emotional. Watching their interaction made me get teary several times because the tenderness is truly palpable between them. Terry also proudly announced that 27 people held her during her first day of life, so I think that it's clear she is starting live well loved not only by her parents, but by all the friends and family surrounding her tiny life! Sweet baby Emerson, you truly are the heart of hearts.

From the get-go I believe that our lives were meant to be intertwined together, but little did I know what that would look like. I love how God can orchestrate details like this! It all started back at Lost Valley Ranch where Stephen and Sarah met and fell in love (side note: That is where Ross and I met too, but our story took a LOT longer to come together!). They now live in Chapel Hill and I've loved seeing my "ranch world" and "college world" collide in so many incredible ways. It has been such a joy to simply share in regular life stuff with Stephen and Sarah.
I'll especially cherish the memory of when they told me they were expecting this new little one because I was just so overwhelmed with the blessing of seeing their relationship come together from the very beginning, and now being able to be around while they adjust to being a new family of three!
Welcome little Miss Sadie Foster. You are going to be surrounded by so many people who love and adore you. I can't wait to hear your voice and listen to your laughter. I can't wait to watch Stephen and Sarah grow as your parents. One day I know that I'll get to watch you riding horses and exploring at Lost Valley... a place near and dear to my heart for so many reasons, but mostly because that is where is all began.
Amy, Your precious photos of our granddaughter brought tears to my eyes. You captured so much love in your photography! Cannot wait to see the rest of the photos...
Blessings!
Glen & Becky

lots of laughter and exploring.
These are the things that make me fall in love with these photos. I so so soooo appreciated how the Walters crew was willing to go with the flow and capture some of those perfectly imperfect moments that make life what it is right now. I think that what we captured was such a beautiful slice of life... dirty knees and silly faces included.
It's funny because I was reading an old entry in my journal this morning and I loved the fact that I wrote down some of the random stuff about day to day life from 2 years ago. I loved that it brought me back to some of those little mundane things that I would have never recalled on my own. And I love that my photos can provide those triggers too... so that some day when these kiddos are graduating from high school or getting married, these photos can represent a slice of their story... their history. My style is not about getting kiddos perfectly posed, or smiling juuuuust right. My style, and my goal, is to capture the essence of who they are... and I like what I see!!
Amy. I really really love these! They are Great!!!
(11.18.09 @ 05:47 PM)Ross and I often ponder is whether little Towne will remember much of her time with "Aunt Amy and Uncle Ross", and although I like to think that she will remember on her own... I feel like the photos I have taken will hopefully serve as a lifelong reminder. I look forward to photographing her for many many years to come!
Amy I gotta tell ya; I love every single one of these images!
(11.10.09 @ 10:05 PM)oh my goodness gracious - towne is such a cutie!!! love these pics of barrett & christi too!!!!
(11.11.09 @ 09:18 AM)I'm just jaelous of so many things. where did towne get all that blonde hair! who knew that was coming! but i'm jealous of her super cute outfit (i want it?!?!) and Christi's super cute post baby body, is it a joke? some kind of photoshop? or did this girl get all the luck? AND i want to be your family. but other than all that. i just loved these.
(11.11.09 @ 10:02 AM)AMY! The colors and the style are SO awesome...I love love love these shots, you outdid yourself on this one! :)
(11.11.09 @ 03:07 PM)These are precious of all my babies. MIss Towne is a show by herself. Amy, your work is top drawer. Actually, it helps to have Barrett, Christi, and Towne as models. Your professionalism certainly is exceptional. Don't ever stop taking photos of your family....and mine.
(11.11.09 @ 06:13 PM)Wow, wow, WOW! Amy, these are spectacular! I adore this family, too. Miss Towne is so precious. My mouth is wide open looking at these! XO
(11.12.09 @ 07:34 AM)That has got to be the best dressed child that I have ever seen! What a cutie! And the parents are adorable too! Amazing job, as always, Amy.

This quote makes me think of Max. He just welcomed a little baby sister, Genevieve, and I think that he has got the makings for a pretty awesome big brother/superhero. I wanted to share a few shots from our time together, although most of them are staying under wraps to be sure that I don't spoil the Christmas card!
And as for me, I just got back from my whirlwind trip to Charlotte yesterday, and I talked in my sleep a lot (apparently) last night which is something that I do upon utter exhaustion :) I'm so happy to be home and will be working to catch up and continue to share the photo goodness from my trip!

oh wow, wow, wow.
(12.02.09 @ 09:23 AM)Perfect! Ellen is beautiful. Terry is studly. And Emerson could win something. That black and white pic with the big eyes looking up is so beautiful! what if i frame it? these pics almost make me want to reproduce! perhaps i should get more solid grounding than pics. But it's a start, right? Love!
