Hello and welcome. I'm a lifestyle/editorial photographer now based Grand Forks, North Dakota of all places. After starting my business in Charlotte, NC and bouncing around the Southeast, we are embarking on a new adventure in a a whole new part of the country. My goal is to capture the beauty of life as you know it. My passion is to create images that celebrate life and emotion with a fresh and modern style. I'm happy to share my journey with you here on my site.

Available for travel assignments and adventure, always.
This morning Raleigh and I were both up a little early so she hopped in the stroller and we wandered our way down to the river and then to Bernice's Bakery for a special breakfast treat. I have been coming to Bernice's since some of my first visits to Missoula over 10 years ago when Mark was in college and had just started dating Shannon.

Pretty amazing to think of all that has happened over all those years and I delighted in having a breakfast date with their oldest little girl. We talked and babbled and I loved every second.

Happy 4th of July!

I feel like the 4th is one of those holidays that I associate with the beach so I'll take the opportunity to share some looooong overdue photos from the beach with Ross' family. These are his oldest sister, Valerie's, kids... Morgan, Grace, Stella and CJ. It was a gorgeous evening towards the end of our week at Sunset Beach! I love these kiddos like crazy.

Since Ross is gone for the month of July doing training for his new position, I am taking the month to travel and spend time with family.... and squeeze some work in too. Yesterday I arrived in Missoula, MT to hang with my brother Mark, his wife Shannon and their 2 little girls - Raleigh and Gracyn.

This is what I woke up to this morning. Beautifuls.

Good morning beautiful how was your night....
And when I opened my eyes and see your sweet face
Its a good morning beautiful day

I met Gracyn for the first time yesterday since she is only a few weeks old. And Raleigh, what a joy to see this girl and all her wide-eyed glory. It's going to be a sweet time... I'm sure of it.

In truth a family is what you make it. It is made strong, not by number of heads counted at the dinner table, but by the rituals you help family members create, by the memories you share, by the commitment of time, caring, and love you show to one another, and by the hopes for the future you have as individuals and as a unit.

It's an amazingly big family. One that I'm blessed to know through my dear friend Kristen. She is one of 7 kids... yes, seven kids from 2 amazing parents. They are now spread all across the country, but gathered for some time together at Wild Dunes and I was lucky enough to be there and help capture the wonderful, amazing, boisterous, and loving Grefenstette family!
