Hello and welcome. I'm a lifestyle/editorial photographer now based Grand Forks, North Dakota of all places. After starting my business in Charlotte, NC and bouncing around the Southeast, we are embarking on a new adventure in a a whole new part of the country. My goal is to capture the beauty of life as you know it. My passion is to create images that celebrate life and emotion with a fresh and modern style. mclovin.
On my drive to North Dakota, I was FINALLY able to photograph my aunt and her horse, Mclovin. I've been wanting to get to Chicago and do this forEVER so this was such a treat for me. Disappearing behind my camera is one of my greatest joys, and shooting in this setting was particularly special during this time of wild transition. With all elements of my life being so up in the air, these couple hours were sheer delight. Watching my aunt interact with her horse is just a beautiful sacred thing. Here are just a few of my favorites from the day...

southern proper: greetings from the south.
Hello hello to the lovely new Southern Proper spring line. We had a fabulous time shooting this down at Sea Island, GA and despite facing some cold, rainy weather I think that everything looks pretty dang bright and cheery! Thank you to the whole team that I worked with (I LOVE working with you guys!!!) and also to the amazing Joni of Chocolate Butterbean and Lay Baby Lay who crafted the lovely postcard design.

thirty flirty and fabulous.
Meet Charlotte. She truly is thirty, flirty and fabulous... she even has this blog to prove it. This girl is awesome, and just so happens to be the sister of another awesome lady who I've photographed here. I can't help but share this image because it fits so perfectly with who she is and these 2 posters from her site, which I would love to have in my house. Our goal was to get some shots for her up and coming design business (ChaLolly), but this was just too fun not to share. Just seems to fit this Sunday afternoon....

Her personal and professional style are impeccable. Her beauty is equal parts stunning, classic and unique. Needless to say, I was both excited and nervous about capturing the type of images I knew she wanted, but as I was shooting I couldn't help but be a little giddy about what we were collecting with the glow of the evening light. Below is just a taste of the lovely elegance that Kathryn exudes.
