Hello and welcome. I'm a lifestyle/editorial photographer now based Grand Forks, North Dakota of all places. After starting my business in Charlotte, NC and bouncing around the Southeast, we are embarking on a new adventure in a a whole new part of the country. My goal is to capture the beauty of life as you know it. My passion is to create images that celebrate life and emotion with a fresh and modern style. I'm happy to share my journey with you here on my site.

Available for travel assignments and adventure, always.

This precious baby boy is where I'm investing my love and my life, and I couldn't be more excited and blessed to celebrate my very first Mother's Day as his proud mama.

Yesterday I got really sick and I feel like Charlie's facial expression says it all. Yet, despite feeling like I wanted to crawl in a hole... I was also just feeling so thankful for all the love and support my family was able to provide yesterday in all my ickiness.... as well as throughout all the crazy life transitions we are walking through at the moment (new baby, selling a house, packing, moving, Ross leaving for over a month of training, etc). Come to think of it, I don't think I have officially announced it here on my site yet, but we are leaving Fayetteville and heading to the DC area. The Air Force accepted Ross to a masters program there that he is really excited about. It's going to be a sweet adventure for our newly expanded little family. I'm not exactly sure what my work schedule will look like through it all, but I do know that this upcoming year will be one committed to learning, growing and stretching myself creatively. Right now I am just taking it one day at a time, and trying to soak in the goodness that each day has to offer. Even if I am sick :)

We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.  ~Thornton Wilder

Memory... is the diary that we all carry about with us.  ~Oscar Wilde

I'm organizing all my taxes (finally!) and as much as I've been dreading this tedious process, I must confess that reviewing and organizing my purchase history from last year is bringing back so many sweet memories. Each receipt reminds me of exactly what was going on at that time....

that perfect California evening and dinner with Greg and Nicole at Tender Greens,

how good that conversation with Ross was while I was driving across New Mexico right after getting that darn speeding ticket,

pumping gas in the snow at the Loaf n' Jug right outside Woodland Park after leaving Lost Valley,

the intoxicating smell of jasmine in the air as I sipped cappuccino in Pasadena and was inspired by Richard and Kirsten,

seeing hundreds of windmills on the drive from LA to 29 Palms,

watching the rain from window while I edited photos at Fido's cafe in Nashville...

and the list goes on.

So, there is my random rambling for the day. Take a moment to revel in one of your memories from this month last year... what do you remember?

Apologies to anyone who got a crazy email from me requesting money and saying I was stuck in the UK.  My email was hacked into and I'm working on sorting out the issues... what a mess since it looks like all my emails were deleted and maybe even all contacts lost.  If you really need to get a hold of me please call (919.622.1729) and hopefully I can either have my email, or at least Facebook, back or have something else set up VERY soon!

And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity."

colossians 3:12

Free2 (124).jpgAgain, thanks to the awesome, amazing, talented and gracious Emily Corey for this image of our little family.

Today is all about celebrating all things lovely, good and pure... so I wanted to share this image and a link to my friend Doreen's site because it is filled with images that are just that... lovely, good and pure. I'm always inspired and awed by the beauty she captures, so I wanted to pass it along.
