Hello and welcome. I'm a lifestyle/editorial photographer now based in Bethesda MD. My goal is to capture the beauty of life as you know it. My passion is to create images that celebrate life and emotion with a fresh and modern style. I'm happy to share my journey with you here on my site.

Available for travel assignments and adventure, always.
I've been waiting for Sharon to share her story about this wild weekend we had together in Knoxville shooting Callie and Brian's GORGEOUS wedding, so be sure that you check out her side and her stunning images. But the long story short is that she got super duper crazy sick on her drive to shoot the wedding so I made the trek, over the mountains and through the woods, to help a sister out. I honestly don't know how she did it, but she is pretty much Wonderwoman in my mind (especially after seeing how she dealt with all this), but I just consider myself blessed to shoot alongside, and be friends with, such a rockstar of a person and photographer.

It's didn't hurt that we had awesome weather, a stunning location and a lovely bride, Callie, who was giddy with joy on her wedding day....

He went to UVA. She went to UVA. They never met at UVA. It took them both moving to Charlotte for them to meet. I appreciate  it when divine intervention steps in like that to assure that 2 people who are meant to be together... are in fact, together. Seeing Chrissy and Ben interact its completely obvious that they are desperately in love with each other, made for one another, and that they both adore their pup Lex. For the love, seriously.
One of the coolest parts of my job is getting to set into people's lives and relationship... oberve them, capture their interaction and love. I never tire of this. I thrive on it. Thank you Chrissy and Ben for giving me so much to work with. You guys are awesome.

I grew up going to Duke Gardens on Sunday afternoons with my family and it has always been a magical place to me, so when Paige asked about doing her bridal portrait there it took me about .025 seconds to respond with a resounding... HECK YES! It doesn't hurt that I'm a huge fan of bridal portrait sessions, which I've heard other photographers complain about, but to me... what could be better to have a stunning bride and all the creative freedom in the world?! I love the personal focus, I love seeing the bride flaunt her dress for the first time, and I love it when random folks woo over the beauty of a bride. This session was special because I've already photographed Paige once, for the BELIEVE project, so it was nice to just feel like our time together just flowed beautifully! Paige embodies classic elegance in every day life/style, so seeing her in this dress... well, let's just say she was a vision amid the magic of Duke Gardens. There were more than a few little girls who I noticed admiring her from afar and I couldn't help but smile to myself and remember when I was in their shoes.

Here are some more of the shots from the wedding last weekend that have me over the moon. Again, thank you thank you Sharon Clark for being such a rockstar and letting be shoot with you!

Meet the bride, Morgan.

Meet the groom, Morgan.

Yes, they are both named Morgan which leaves everyone calling them Big Mo and Little Mo.... but Sharon and I preferred calling them Big Mo and Beautiful Mo because well, she was undeniably the beauty that shone throughout the day. This was a bride who truly set the tone for  everyone else... she laughed, played, and seem to just drink in the joy of having "her day". If feel like that happiness permeated through the images we were blessed to capture. I mean, I feel happy just looking at them (which I've done again and again and again).... I hope you feel the same way! And a huge congratulations to Big Mo and Beautiful Mo as they start their life together... I'm so thankful to have been a part of their wedding celebration!

The light for these next few shots was beyond words.... the ones that comes to mind but seem shamefully inadequate are....radiant, alluring... ummm....ravishing.

Saturday I spent the day shooting a wedding  with Sharon Clark and squealing with delight at the stunning images we were able to collect. Truly, this was a wedding where the attention to detail was obviously an overflow of their love for each other. Here are just a couple of the images that I fell in love with... more to come!
